Usually we’re jumping for a joy when a chocolate brand announces a new flavour but we’re really not sure about the latest one from Nestlé.
The brand has reportedly created a melon and cheese KitKat combo which is being sold at Japanese airports following a limited release last week.
The Mirror Online reports that this is one of three new flavours launched in the country – the other two are Japanese Strawberry and Uji Matcha (using green tea powder).
The creation is made using actual melon and Mascarpone cheese powder along with the signature wafer and then some added white chocolate.
“Hokkaido Watermelon with Mascarpone cheese” is on sale!
It’s Limited Regional Products.

The idea of the bar has been met with a great deal of criticism and skepticism on Twitter with many questioning the taste.
However, if it is popular, Nestlé could end up rolling the flavour out elsewhere in the world.
While we would never say no to chocolate, we reckon the new Cadbury flavours that were announced earlier this year are more in keeping with our tastes.
They include Oreo Crunch, Triple Choc Sensation and Toffee Whole Nut Big Taste. Plus, the stuffed bars are bigger, coming in at 300g compared to the smaller 45g bars.
