Thandie Newton has become the toast of breastfeeding mamas the world over, after she shared a sweet snap of her feeding her two-year-old in public.
The English actress, who is also mum to daughters Ripley (16) and Nico (12) with husband Ol Parker, was feeding son Booker Jombe while taking a break at the Latitude music festival in the UK over the weekend.
Newton (43) captioned the image:
‘Perfect happiness @latitudefest This is what my body is made for. And the rest is my choice. #Freedom.’
The post has been liked over 3, 379 times, with fans of the Crash actress congratulating her for helping to normalise breastfeeding.
lilixjay posted: “This is beyond beautiful this is pure happiness and I love breastfeeding my baby.”
Fan debracuming added: “Thank you so much for posting this. It took guts and is such a beautiful photo.”
It’s not the first time Newton has shown that behind her stardom, she’s really just a down-to-earth mum. Speaking to the press last year, the Bafta winner said her kids are not impressed by her star status:
“It irritates them, which I think is very healthy. They are very aware that a lot of what I do, like walking down the red carpet, is just an illusion and I don’t take the mask home with me, so they know who I am. I talk to them a lot about not wanting to be famous just for the sake of it, but having a rewarding, satisfying job, and they seem to understand that is just a by product,”
