July’s weather is getting off to a rocky start.
This week’s weather forecast is very mixed. According to Met Eireann, today will start off mostly cloudy with light rain and drizzle in some areas. The rain will become persistent and heavy in the afternoon starting along the west and southwest coasts and moving northeastwards.
The evening rain will be the heaviest in the west and northwest with lighter, patchy rain in the south. Highest temperatures 14 to 19 degrees.
There will be a similar situation tomorrow for the weather, the heavy rain will affect parts of Connacht and Ulster in the morning, while everywhere else will have lighter rain. The afternoon will bring dry and sunny spells in most places with temperatures reaching 15 to 20 degrees.
Wednesday and Thursday are supposed to be mainly dry but will be humid. There are also chances of light rain.
Early indications for Friday and the weekend suggest it’s going to become cooler and will still have changeable and unsettled weather.
