Gardaí are investigating an incident involving a hit and run, which happened overnight in Dublin.
A man in his 40s was knocked down and then attacked by a group of men.
According to RTE, the incident took place on Parnell Street in Dublin at 12:20am. A blue/green Audi knocked down a man with witnesses reporting that men then got out of the car and assaulted the injured man before leaving the scene.
The man, who is believed to be in his 40s, received serious injuries and was brought to the Mater Hospital.
