It’s being reported today that TV3 has axed their Toy Show. The show would have been entering its fourth year this year but the TV station has decided to pull the plug on it.
According to The Sun, a source said it had to do with the money generated from advertising. They said:
“Brexit had a huge impact on advertising revenue.
Money was a big issue and TV3 just couldn’t afford to put the Toy Show on again this year.”
The show was first hosted by Brian McFadden and Karen Koster in 2014, ex Rose of Tralee Maria Walsh and Brian Ormond in 2015 and most recently by Dustin the Turkey and Lucy Kennedy in 2016.

It was a contender for the much-loved Late Late Toy Show on RTÉ. It initially started out as a huge set up, broadcasting out of the RDS a week before the RTÉ version. Then it changed location to the TV3 studios on a smaller scale production.
Then last year, it changed its name to the Toy Show Teaser, airing an hour earlier than the RTÉ version.
TV3 has yet to confirm this news for definite but we’ll keep you posted.
