Two people have been shot in New York City, with one believed to be a pregnant woman. The New York City Alerts first broke the news on Twitter.
Double shooting in Manhattan @NYPD9Pct at Astor Place and Cooper Square. 2 people shot, both in critical condition. Active crime scene.

The incident occurred before 8am local time.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the woman was parking her bike in the East Village when she was approached by a man who shot her in the stomach. He then reportedly turned the gun on himself.
She is believed to be pregnant. It’s not known at this time if it was connected to the terrorist attack yesterday.
