Kelly Clarkson is teaching her children about sexual harassment

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson has said that she feels educating children to ‘do better’ than the current generation on the topic of sexual harassment is needed.

The singer, and mum of four, spoke about the Hollywood and music industry sexual scandals that have come to light in recent months and years.

Speaking to E! News on the Grammy’s red carpet she said:

“It is something that happens not only in the music industry, or with actors in the film industry. It happens everywhere, even with my friends who have ‘normal’ jobs. And I think that’s the whole reason.

It’s not like we’re trying to beat a dead horse, we’re trying to challenge people and keep it relevant and in constant thought. Making sure that you are a respectful human in your work environment.”

She also added that she thinks it needs to be discussed with younger generations, both boys and girls, to teach and encourage them to treat others the correct way:

“Also making sure that we’re teaching our children to do better than we’ve done. We have four kids, two boys, two girls, we not only teach our women, but we teach our boys how to be men.”

Well said Kelly!
