Wrap yourselves up!
It’s pretty cold today lads, and even though we had some cold snaps over the weekend, it looks like it’s not going to get any better any time soon.
Met Éireann has revealed that as well as being cold, rain will also break out throughout the day.
Cold and frosty this morning in the east but cloudy in the west with outbreaks of rain which will gradually spread further eastwards during the day. Top temperatures 5 to 9 degrees. pic.twitter.com/wIvb9TWOM0

The weather forecaster said: “Cold and frosty for a time this morning in the east and mostly dry at first but cloudy in the west with outbreaks of rain which will gradually spread further eastwards during the day. Top temperatures will reach only 5 to 9 degrees in light south easterly breezes but winds will be moderate to fresh in the West.”
And this is what we can expect for tonight: “A clear cold evening and night with lowest temperatures of -1 to +1 degrees; frost in places. Showers will affect western coastal areas but most other parts will remain dry.”
The majority of the week will see no rain, but temperatures will remain the same until Sunday – so wrap up and keep yourselves warm.
And bring an umbrella – we think we can all agree that you never really know when the rain will show its face in Ireland.
