Six counties are included in this weather warning.
Met Éireann has issued a weather warning for Friday and it seems as though some parts of the country will be impacted more than others.
The national forecaster describes this warning as status yellow and it’s in place for six counties – Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry.
The wind alert starts at 3 pm tomorrow evening and extends until 12 am on Saturday morning.

Here’s what you can expect if you’re in one of the aforementioned counties tomorrow.
“Southerly winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 km/h, gust 90 to 100 km/h later Friday and Friday night in Atlantic coastal counties, strongest on the coast”.
Earlier today, the national forecaster announced that it would get considerably colder tonight. Oh and we’re talking minus four so, in other words, it will be absolutely freezing.
“Tonight will be dry with good clear spells with perhaps just an isolated shower in the north. Winds will be mostly light variable with some patches of mist or fog forming, but winds will increase moderate southerly later along Atlantic coasts. It will become very cold with lowest temperatures falling to between zero and minus 4 degrees leading to a widespread frost and the risk of icy stretches”.
