Ah, stop.
Puppies are great for a couple of reasons.
Generally, those reasons have very little to do with their ability to teach youngsters about kindness and inclusion, but sure look, here we are.
The puppy in question is a little pink one named Piglet.
He’s a dachshund-Chihuahua mix, he weighs about one pound, and he was born deaf and blind alongside 37 other puppies in a hoarding situation.
However, Piglet’s tragic early life circumstances aren’t representative of his living situation now as he has become a bit of an inspiration for young children in the States who might be struggling with their own individuality.

He’s also got over 100k followers on Instagram.
What a good lad.
“Despite being deaf and blind and tiny, Piglet is a happy little dog,” writes Piglet’s owner, Melissa Shapiro, on Instagram
“He loves his home and his life. He loves his mom and dad and dog pack family, he loves going to work, he loves to travel, and he loves to visit classrooms to teach children about his Piglet Mindset.”
The Piglet Mindset, as above, is a method of teaching that involves using things you do have, rather than things you don’t.

Shapiro has even made the Piglet Mindset available to download on her website, so everybody can get involved in the positivity.
Incredible.
“He is deaf and blind,” went on Shapiro.
“Piglet’s original people did not intentionally breed two dapples. They were in over their heads and things got out of control. Thankfully a rescue group came in to help.
“Piglet is one of the lucky ones. Many dogs like Piglet are euthanised by breeders if rescue groups don’t come forward. Many end up in shelters or abandoned on the streets.”
Thankfully, Piglet did not – and now he’s essentially a bonafide celebrity.
Fair play to all involved.
