If you think sneaking a little nostalgic sip from the kids’ Capri Sun packets taste like summer, just wait till you try these ones.
Apparently zip-lock beverages (also knows as adult Capri Suns) have been doing the rounds on Pinterest of late, and having discovered them, we are wondering why the heck we didn’t think of this before?! I mean; carting drinks around like this is perfect for the beach or a picnic.
Tip: Make these little bags of deliciousness the night before, throw them in the freezer, and by the time you get to where you are going (beach, park wherever) the next day, you have yourself a just-defrosted, ice-cold adult Capri Sun to sip on!
Adult Capri suns- Vodka Lemonade
SO refreshing!
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup water, plus 8 cups
- 4 lemons, juiced
- Vodka
- Ice cubes
Directions
In a saucepan, combine the sugar and 1/3-cup water and place over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a boil, and then cook the sugar until dissolved but the syrup is still clear. Do not cook the sugar until it starts to turn color. Remove from heat and cool.
In a pitcher, combine the syrup, 8 cups water, the lemon juice, vodka and ice and stir to combine. Pour into you ziplock bags and off you go!
