These chocolates (you won’t believe are virtually guilt-free!)

Cue the drool

I promised you beautiful peeps a recipe for individual chocolates, so here is one sweet delivery coming up. This is not just any old recipe, though; it’s fricking awesome. It takes less than 20 minutes and is guaranteed to win hearts. They also make a great dessert option, too.

These bad boys are pretty indulgent, but if you prefer to skip the alcohol infusion, fresh berries taste just as yum.

Thank me later…

Decadent boozy berry-filled Choccies

Makes 36 chocolates

Ingredients:

Two 150g bars of Dark chocolate (one 70% and the other 85% cacao)

For the filling:

400g mixed fresh berries

2 cups of Liqueur (Choose whichever you prefer e.g.: orange, peppermint etc. I used a Spanish Ronmiel Honey Liqueur)

3 tablespoons chopped almonds

Equipment:

Two sweet/chocolate moulds (I got mine in TK Maxx you can get them here.)

Alternative filling suggestions:

Blend peanut butter and dates together, or experiment with flavoured ganache.

Directions

1. Soak the berries for at least 3 hours or overnight.

2. Break the two bars of chocolate into teeny, tiny pieces.

3. Melt the chocolate over a large bowl of boiling water on a low heat until it looks as delicious as this.

4. Place the chocolate moulds on greaseproof paper, if you hate the cleaning-up part as much as I do.

5. Spoon in the melted chocolate individually into each cavity. Ensure the chocolate coats the side of each section.

6. When you have filled both sweet moulds tap each one to remove bubbles (I kind of forgot this part: see below).

7. Pour out the residual chocolate from the trays back into your bowl, leaving the sides coated and place each mould in the fridge for ten minutes.

8. Remove the two moulds and place the filling inside each chocolate shape. Fire some chopped almonds in there too.

9. Pour remaining melted chocolate over the top and pop back in the fridge for ten minutes until set.

10. Enjoy the compliments about your chocolates forever. Fact.
