This homemade Irish baby food is now available to buy nationwide

Your little one will love this!

Ireland’s much loved and home grown chilled baby food, Pip & Pear, is thrilled to announce they have gone nationwide and are now available in Tesco stores across Ireland as well as online.

Tesco’s enthusiasm and support for a quality Irish brand such as Pip & Pear, that prioritises working with organic, nutritious produce, made it a perfect fit for the nationwide launch of Pip & Pear Chilled Baby Food.

The best alternative to homemade meals for parents, Pip & Pear ‘s guilt-free offering is a natural and tasty range gently cooked using Irish Bord Bia approved meat and poultry, organic fruit and vegetables.

The dishes include ingredients such as coconut milk, apricots, butternut squash, ginger, cumin and lentils, offering baby a wholesome and varied selection filled with vibrant flavours and colours.

With dishes such as Fishy Dishy, Rizzi Risotto, Cheesy Chicken Pasta and Banana Blue mealtimes are set to be a fun and easier time for parents and children alike.

Products ranging from €1.89 to €2.99 across the four stages from baby to toddler, catering for little ones from five months up to three years.

The textures of each stage are age appropriate and help with the development of a normal palate, fine motor skills, aiding speech and language development.

Health conscious and time pressed parents no longer need to be a slave to the kitchen in the evenings or weekends frantically batch cooking for all ages of babies and toddlers.

A healthy and delicious alternative to home cooking that doesn’t compromise on taste or nutrients, Pip & Pear offers families 12 yummy dishes to choose from. With a short chilled shelf life, Pip & Pear meals also offer up to two of a child’s five a day fruit and veg portions.

Pip & Pear launched in the summer of 2015 when Waterford founder and owner Irene Queally went back to work after her second child.

“When I had my second child I noticed a gap in the market for chilled, nutritious and tasty baby food, which offered time-pressed parents a guilt-free alternative to home cooking, as opposed to the long-shelf-life products that were the only other choice in the market.”

“These pouches and jars of food didn’t look or taste anything like the baby food I was cooking at home so I decided to change that and create something more suitable for parents and children across Ireland.”

As a mum, Irene was conscious to keep the homemade, nutritious elements to her recipes and refused to compromise on this when developing the Pip & Pear brand.

In order to deliver this guilt-free delicious alternative Irene set out to only work with organic certified fruit and veg and Bord Bia approved meat, fish and poultry.

All products are also gluten, egg and soya free. Pip & Pear is committed to manufacturing sustainably with (the pots are fully recyclable, re-usable and BPA free).

Pip & Pear Chilled Baby Food offers the best nutritional options in a convenient little pot and makes it easier for babies to transition to a broad range of solid foods. Make sure to look out for them in the dairy fridge of your local Tesco.
