All thanks to chef, Phil Joy, from The Park Bikeworks, a cool bike shop and café in Derby, who created these little balls of boldness (chocolate gegs) and posted these pics to his facebook page. It has now gone viral, with 17,000 liking this genius recipe that taps into our nostalgia and love for the traditional creme egg.
Is it the thoughts of the gooey cream egg centre, or maybe that it’s covered in a rich, brownie mixture, or that it’s coated in chocolate flakes? We can’t decide.

The café sell around 100 per week, getting orders from far and wide (£20 delivery charge to Ireland!). That’s a lot of calories to our count.
