Who doesn’t love pasta? And red wine?
I know! So imagine our joy when we came across this recipe combining our two favourite things.
Julia Child famously used to say, “I enjoy cooking with wine, sometimes I even put it in the food I’m cooking!”And with this dish, you can really enjoy a little of both. And everything.
Say hello to your new favourite spaghetti dish:
Red Wine Spaghetti
Serves: 2
Ingredients
- 2 cups pinot noir
- 2 cups water
- 8 oz. thin spaghetti
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. lemon zest
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tbsp. grated Pecorino cheese
- 1 tbsp. chopped parsley
Directions
1. In a 12-inch skillet, stir together wine, water, spaghetti, and 1/2 tsp. salt. Heat to boiling on high.
2. Boil for 9 to 11 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring often. Remove from heat.
3. Stir in lemon zest, butter, pepper, and remaining 1/4 tsp. salt. Top with grated Pecorino cheese and parsley.
