Happy World Gin Day! Here Are 6 FABULOUS Ways to Celebrate…

If ever there was a valid excuse for a tipple, it’s today. G&T fans all over the globe will be slicing up the lemons and stocking the freezer with ice for the eighth annual World Gin Day.

And there’s more good news if you’re letting your hair down tonight: Not only is it delicious, but gin is also low in calories, particularly if you choose a sugar-free mixer or low-cal tonic. In fact, a single gin only contains around 100 calories, so it’s the perfect weekend treat if you’re on a diet.

Here are six tasty ways to enjoy it…

1. Gin & Tonic Tart

This gin and tonic tart is basically what boozy dreams are made of – hence making it perfect for all this month’s festive get-togethers.

2. Gin & Tonic Slushies

Whether you serve them up at a barbecue or savour them à deux with your other half before a romantic dinner, gin and tonic slushies are what summer was made for.

3. Gin & Tonic Macarons

We came across this recipe on a delightful blog called ‘Bake It Instinct’ which includes an array of delicious recipes including New York Cheesecake (another one of our personal favourites).

4. Gin & Tonic Popsicles

There is nothing as refreshing as a cool gin and tonic, but try your hand at a popsicle version, and voila; you have just taken your G&T game to a whole new level.

5. Anti-aGin

Described as “the first of its kind” and “the alcoholic equivalent of a facial”, Anti-aGin is said to rejuvenate your skin whilst you sip on the beverage. It contains pure collagen (which keeps wrinkles and fine lines at bay) as well as other age-defying botanicals and antioxidants including nettle, chamomile, witch hazel oil and green tea.

6. G&T Icing
