To me, and, indeed, most women I think, mascara is a real “desert island” kind of beauty product.

2. Maybelline The Falsies Push-Up Drama Mascara
Here is another great choice if you love full-on, false-lash looking lashes. TIP: Comb through your lashes after application to separate them a little for even more of a wow effect.

4. Chanel le Volume de Chanel Mascara
Yes, it’s expensive, but when it comes to money well spent, this is it. The silky formula gives beautiful, fanned-out lashes, it doesn’t clump and really makes your eyes pop without looking like you are wearing false lashes.

5. YSL Radical Volume Effet Faux Cils
This has been my go-to mascara for years at this stage, and one I always come back to.
Not surprisingly, many makeup artists swear by YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils as it gives perfect, dramatic lashes in one single stroke. The nylon fiber brush coats each lash in deep color and gives amazing volume from root to tip, and I love how the added B5 Pro-Vitamin strengthens and protects my lashes.

6. Lancome Grandiose Extreme Mascara
The first time I saw the unique swan neck wand on Lancome’s Grandiose Extreme Mascara I was a little skeptical about how easy it would be to apply mascara with it.
Turns out, those Lancome designers totally know what they are doing, and now I am more than a little obsessed, as the small, stiff brush allows me to easily get mascara onto every tiny little lash there is. Oh, and every time I wear this mascara, I always get compliments on my makeup – just saying!
