We can not wait for this!
If you were a child in the early 2000s, as many of us were, you probably remember Chicken Run.
Created by the makers of Wallace and Gromit, the stop motion film was huge at the time, so we were all a little surprised when unlike movies like Shrek, it didn’t get a sequel.
Well, if you were disappointed you never got a Chicken Run sequel back in the early 2000s you’ll be delighted to know that not only is a Chicken Run 2 coming, we even know some of the details!

Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, has started production and is planned for its release on Netflix next year, 2023.
It’s only the start of 2022 and we’ve already got something to look forward to next year.
Replacing Mel Gibson as Rocky the heroic rooster is Zachary Levi, with Thandiwe Newton taking over from Julia Sawalha as Ginger.
Meanwhile, young Game of Thrones star Bella Ramsey will voice Rocky and Ginger’s daughter, Molly.

Other actors set to feature in the much anticipated sequel will include Imelda Staunton as Bunty and Lynn Ferguson as Mac, Josie Sedgwick-Davies (Hound & the Rabbit) as Frizzle, David Bradley (Harry Potter) as Fowler, Romesh Ranganathan (Cinderella) as Nick, Daniel Mays (Good Omens) as Fetcher and Nick Mohammed (Ted Lasso) as Dr. Fry.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aardman films plan on teaming up with Netflix for more projects, particularly ones featuring the legendry duo Wallace and Gromit.
Between this and the Hocus Pocus sequel I think we might actually burst with nostalgia.
No exact release date has been given by Netflix yet but we’ll keep you updated on any further developments.
