It is a craze that is sweeping the Internet– with celebrities now leading the charge.
The Mannequin Challenge is a new trend which sees people uploading videos of themselves looking as if they have been frozen in time during a dramatic set-up. And to be honest if you haven’t heard about it you may have been living under a very large rock.
Using the hashtag #MannequinChallenge, those attempting the skit include Hillary Clinton, the Kardashians, Bon Jovi and Holly and Phil from This Morning. Some challenges that have gone viral include a London tube full of commuters, a Dublin pub scene, an entire music concert and Padraig Harrington during the golf European Tour in Dubai.
But the CUTEST version we found was from a group of four year olds who, in our opinion, took the prize for the most dedicated to the cause.
Filmed at the One Step Ahead Learning Centre in New Jersey, this group of kids did their best to attempt to stand perfectly still. And we know, firsthand, how utterly impossible it is for kids of this age to remain static for more than a couple of seconds. Manager of the centre said it took just four attempts to get it right.
The video has nine million views and counting and it is not hard to see why. Check out the face on the smallest boy on the left…priceless. This may be the best 14 seconds you spend today.
