Out of all the places you envision giving birth (hospital bed, birthing pool, at home) we bet the Port Tunnel to the vast majority of mamas isn’t one of them.
But that is exactly where a baby boy was delivered earlier this week, when his mum, en route to Holles Street Maternity Hospital, just couldn’t hold on any longer.
Her little boy did not have time to wait, but luckily members of the Swords ambulance service attended the scene, and helped deliver the baby.
The crew have since tweeted its congratulations to both mother and baby, who are both healthy and doing well.
