We only truly accepted that Ryan Gosling had settled down (and was therefore off the market) when he welcomed baby Esmerelda Amada with the stunning Eva Mendes in 2014. Now word has it that the pair have another little Gosling on the way.
While representatives for the couple have yet to comment, Us Weekly is claiming Eva (42) was hiding a baby bump during a February photoshoot. Recent paparazzi shots also show her covering her tummy with a very large handbag – a celeb trick that’s been employed by many a star down through the years.
Eva and Big Short star Ryan (35) have been together since 2011 when they met on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines.
While the duo are notoriously private, they have shared some insights into life with their 19-month-old daughter, including a little background on her name. Esmerelda was the name of a character Eva once played in We Own The Night, but the real reason the pair chose it for their first child is much sweeter. Chatting baby names on The Wendy Williams Show, she explained:
“We love The Hunchback of Notre Dame, we loved the name, the cartoon and the novel… it just kind of kept coming back to us. It’s actually a very popular Latin name, so it’s easy for my father and certain family members that still don’t speak English to pronounce. That was a good selling point.”
We can’t wait to find out what they have planned for No. 2.
