Body found in park during search for missing nursing assistant

The 32-year-old was last seen on November 28th.

A body has been found during the search for missing nursing assistant Petra Srncova.

The 32-year-old worked at a children’s hospital in London.

Metropolitan Police have been carrying out an extensive search since Petra went missing on November 28th.

Ms Srncova has been missing since December 3rd. A concerned colleague at Evelina Children’s Hospital in London contacted the police about her disappearance.

Police confirmed a body was found in Brunswick Park in London at 11.40 on December 12th.

“At approximately 11:40hrs on Sunday, 12 December police were called by a member of the public to reports of the body of a woman that had been found in Brunswick Park, SE5.

“Officers attended and found a woman who was deceased. Her death is being treated as unexplained but initial inquiries suggest the circumstances are not suspicious. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

“While formal identification awaits, Petra’s family has been informed of this development,” they stated.

Officers said her disappearance was completely out of character for the nursing assistant.

The 32-year-old lived in the Camberwell area but was originally from the Czech Republic.

She was last seen leaving the children’s hospital on November 28th.

Police arrested a man in connection with her disappearance, but he has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

The investigation is ongoing.
