Cheryl Tweedy is part of a new show and it might ruffle some X Factor feathers.
The mum-of-one is part of a new dance show, which will air on BBC One. The show, The Greatest Dancer, will be hosted by Alesha Dixon and Diversity’s Jordan Banjo, while Cheryl is said to be a dance mentor for the contestants.
The other dance captains are Strictly’s Oti Mabuse and Glee star Matthew Morrison. A source told The Sun that Cheryl has chosen this show over the X Factor and is has already begun filming.
They said:
“Cheryl’s always been associated with ITV. She was made a star by Popstars: The Rivals. Moving to the BBC is a huge deal for her. It’s a trial run at this point. But everyone is hoping it’ll get the green light. She’s going to be the star of the show.
The show is shaping up to be a success. Tuesday was the pilot filming but bosses and Simon have pulled together a strong line-up. Alesha and Jordan had great chemistry during the run-through. And Matthew and Oti are trained dancers so are perfect choices alongside Cheryl as ‘dance captains’ or mentors.’”
This photo taken by Cheryl’s hair stylist is believed to be on set on Tuesday.
