Derval O’Rourke is now officially a mum of two!
The three-time Olympian welcomed her second baby early on Sunday.
Announcing the news on social media, Derval shared a gorgeous photo of herself and the new arrival having a cuddle in hospital.
She revealed that she and husband Peter O’Leary had named the new arrival Archie and that he weighed nine pounds and four ounces.
Little Archie is Derval’s second child – she and Peter are already parents to three-year-old Dafne.
Writing on her story, she added that Archie was 11 days overdue.
“Big sister Dafne adores him & Mama + Dada are very proud of him.
“Currently immersed in a world of feeding and baby loveliness.”
Derval first shared the news that she was expecting back in October.
She also opened up about suffering a miscarriage earlier in 2018, telling the Mirror that she was she was nervous to share baby news this time around.
“I found it really difficult,” she said.
“It feels disingenuous to this pregnancy not to mention that, which might seem strange, but that’s how it is.
“I didn’t tell anyone for a long time because I was worried.”
