‘Why don’t we?’: EastEnders star reveals plans to adopt

EastEnders star Shane Richie has revealed he and his wife would like to expand their brood.

Shane and his wife Christie Goddard evidently don’t mind the thought of having their hands even more full! The couple have three children together – son Mackenzie (11) as well as daughters Lolita (9) and Romani (6).

Shane also has two older sons in their twenties – Shane Jnr and Jake from his previous marriage to Loose Women host, Coleen Nolan.

Speaking to the Sun, Shane 53 said;

“We’re talking about adopting.
“We may go down the foster route, which means we can get any age. Because my children are six, nine and 11 we might get a baby. You dunno.
“Although we could have more children I think it’s ’cos we can have children that we think ‘why don’t we?’”

That’s not the only life adjustment Shane has plans to make. He has also quit acting after EastEnders and spin-off Redwater (so-long Alfie Moon) and has decided to launch his own music career. In fact, his album named A Country Soul is set to be released on 17 November.

It’s expected Shane’s fans will get a glimpse of his inner cowboy with his transition away from acting and into a music career.

Exciting times ahead for the Richie/Goddard clan.
