It’s every parent’s worst nightmare.
EastEnders fans were left terrified after last night’s episode ended with the life of Stacey Fowler’s baby, Arthur, hanging in the balance.
Stacey and her husband Martin were left fearing for the young boy’s life after Bex found him unconscious in his cot.
The worried mum kept frantically questioning if Arthur was breathing, while her husband cradled the toddler and told her to ring an ambulance.
The dramatic scenes began when Bex Fowler shrieked for her dad and charged down the steps, holding Arthur – who might have the same heart condition as his dad Kush – in her arms.
The teenager said:
“Dad, it’s Arthur. He wouldn’t wake up.”

Martin and Stacey have recently been facing a tough time lately, as the anxious mum has been awaiting test results for Arthur – who she fears has the genetic heart condition Brigade Syndrome.
The couple were told by a medic during an episode earlier in the week that Arthur was too young to be operated on and they just had to “watch out for the worrying signs of cardiac arrest”.
And fans have begun to fear the parents’ worst nightmare may have occurred.
