It didn’t make much sense.
EastEnders fans were seriously confused last night over a “ridiculous” error with Hayley Slater’s hospital escape.
After going into labour in a taxi last week while en route to the hospital, Hayley finally made it there on Friday – which was seemingly meant to still be Halloween in Walford.
She was taken into the hospital during the night, and towards the end of the episode, she was seen sneaking towards the exit with her baby in her coat.
On Monday night, she finally crept out of the hospital – with her newborn baby in her arms; wearing her hospital gown and in broad daylight.
Fans of the BBC soap were fairly confused over her hospital getaway – namely because of how long it had taken her to get out of the hospital and why nobody seemed to say a single thing about it.
Many took to Twitter to question just how big the Walford hospital was if it took her so long to leave – while others wondered why nobody in the hospital (other patients, visitors, nurses, doctors) batted an eye at Hayley’s getaway.

So it took Hayley all weekend to escape the hospital. Walford General must be the size of the TARDIS if this was the case… #EastEnders #HayleySlater

#EastEnders It took Hayley 3 days to descend the hospital steps to the carpark and now it's fireworks night? Also, who leaves a baby out in the freezing cold where foxes could eat it?

Hayley left her room in the middle of the night but didn't make it out of the hospital until the morning. How? #EastEnders
