Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden has hinted at a huge twist to come in Sarah Sugden’s heartbreaking storyline.
The actor, who plays David Metcalfe, said on This Morning yesterday [August 28] that fans should expect to see the scenes in about a month.
The teenager has faced heartbreak after heartbreak over the last few months, with it all coming to a head after it was decided she wasn’t able to have a heart transplant at the last minute.
And, after overhearing her grandmother declare the surgery pointless, Sarah decided that she didn’t want to have the surgery at all – leaving her mum heartbroken.
Thankfully, after a bit of tough love from her gran and a tearful heart-to-heart with her mum, Sarah’s mind was changed – and she’s since agreed to have the transplant that will save her life.
Wolfenden said told Eamonn and Ruth that the twist in Sarah’s storyline was going to be “absolutely brilliant” – which, we’re hoping, will at least mean some degree of good news.
With Lachlan on the rampage (still), the town definitely needs something nice to happen.
Sarah’s storyline is set to come to a head at the same time as the truth about Lachlan’s murderous ways is uncovered by the rest of the residents – leading some fans to speculate if he could be involved somehow.
