Emotive scenes, indeed.
A few weeks back, Emmerdale‘s Chas and Paddy welcomed a baby girl named Grace.
Unfortunately, due to a rare defect that had occurred inside the womb, Grace was not going to survive long after she was born.
Upon finding out this information, Chas and Paddy had to decided whether to continue the pregnancy or not – they decided they were going to so they could spend a few moments with their daughter when she was born.
Tonight’s instalment of the soap saw emotional scenes as the parents said goodbye to Grace at her funeral.

The pair were joined by many members of the community as they made the journey from the Woolshed to the graveyard where they planned to bury their daughter.
Grace suffered from a condition called bilateral renal agenesis which meant that her kidneys did not develop properly inside the womb.

Chas and Paddy made the decision to donate Grace’s organs after she passed away.
Emmerdale viewers were particularly moved by tonight’s scenes, saying that both Lucy Pargeter and Dominic Brunt deserved recognition for their performances.
