“Katie is terrified”
Katie Price is due to be sentenced today after she was caught drink-driving in September.
The mum is said to be terrified of spending Christmas in jail.
43-year-old Price pleaded guilty to drink-driving, driving without insurance, and driving while disqualified in September.
She crashed her BMW after taking drugs and drinking alcohol the night before. She tested positive for cocaine after the car crash.
Her car flipped over onto the side of a country road near her home in Sussex.
When police arrived at the scene, the mum-of-five told them, “I took drugs, I should not be driving, I admit it all.”
Shortly after the accident, she checked into the rehab facility The Priory.
It is believed the mum is terrified of spending Christmas behind bars.
She confessed to close friends that the reality of the situation has really hit home.
A friend of the former model told MailOnline: “The devastating reality of her situation is starting to hit home and Katie is terrified.
They added, “It’s a reality she has never faced before, which is understandably unnerving.
It is believed Katie is extremely worried about the impact a possible prison sentence will have on her children.
“It’s not just herself who she’s worried about, it’s the potential reaction of her children,” the source said.
“She can’t stop thinking about it and is full of dread, but has been planning as if she is going to have a normal Christmas for the kids as a distraction.”
Katie will be sentenced later today.
