This guy secretly documenting a trip to Ikea with his wife is literally ALL men

Very few things can test a relationship like a trip to Ikea.

We have all been there. Where women see gorgeous, extremely reasonably priced updates for our homes, be it in the shape of candles or cutlery or a brand new side table you never knew you desperately needed until this very moment, men tend to see stuff, more stuff and a DIY disaster waiting to happen when they walk through the blue and yellow doors of the Swedish furniture mecca.

This was certainly also the case for this man, who recently decided to fight his boredom on a trip to Ikea with his wife by documenting the entire experience on social media.

Yup, that’s right. Instead of moaning and complaining about being dragged around the store, this guy instead opted for a play-by-play of the trip, starting with a selfie in front of the store’s entrance.

This image was captioned: “Our apartment is furnished – I am not sure why we are returning.”

A question many a man has asked before him, no doubt.

He then proved that IKEA’s many furniture options leave people wanting things they don’t necessarily need (OK, guilty!) when he shared a snapshot of his wife standing next to a green storage unit.

‘Perhaps we are here for institutional storage solutions,’ he pondered. ‘My wife says, “Maybe when we have eight kids.” We have zero kids. We move on.’

But then, as we all know happens, just when he thought he was done with looking at items they don’t need, his wife starts perusing the candle aisle.

‘We are looking at candles. We have many candles. We bought our current candles at IKEA. These are slightly different,’ he noted.

They then took a stroll down the kids’ section…

“More rats. I begin to speculate they are somehow significant in Swedish culture.”

After that, they made it to the kitchen area, where his wife stared looking at measuring spoons.

“She has commented on how sturdy these spoons are. Our other measuring spoons do not strike me as structurally unsound.”

Napkins next – something ALL women know you can never have enough of…

“This is where you get napkins,” she asserts. I have to agree that, on evidence, she is right.”

As they approached the exit, his wife, of course, busted him in his little online tirade – but luckily didn’t seem all that upset having been made a social media sensation briefly.
