Proud mum Gwyneth Paltrow posted a tribute to her only daughter on Instagram.
To mark International Girls Day, the actress and Goop founder (43) uploaded two images of 11-year-old Apple.
She added the following caption:
“Today, on #InternationalGirlsDay I encourage us all to nurture, support, love and empower all of the girls in our lives. Let us have the strength to let them emerge as who they are meant to be. Let’s selflessly pass down any wisdom we have been fortunate enough to accumulate thus far.”
The actress, who ‘consciously uncoupled’ from husband Chris Martin in March 2014, added: “And most of all let’s just get the heck out of their way, this next generation is going to change everything. Apple Martin, thank you for being my number one girl, the girl who inspires me to be my best every day of my life. #whoruntheworld”

Earlier this week Paltrow admitted she was glad her daughter seems to e choosing positive role models:
‘She loves Taylor Swift, and for me, that’s such a great sign,’ she said. ‘Taylor is a girl who’s incredibly talented. She writes her own music. She’s not naked on the red carpet.
‘She’s an incredibly astute businesswoman, so with role models like that, [Apple] can’t go wrong.’
