It’s the best, hardest job I’ve ever done.
Motherhood is the biggest transition in many of our lives -bringing emotional changes as well as massive physical ones to boot.
That’s why sometimes it is nice to know we are not alone.
It’s not often we can relate to celebrities talking about ‘keeping it real’ when many of them have chefs, personal trainers, nanny’s, mansions and their own personal Instagram photographers. Yes, really.
So we were so happy to see one of our favourite actors, Scarlett Johansson, speaking about her own struggle to balance motherhood with her work.

She was interviewed by ET at the amfAR gala in New York city about how she manages with her daughter two-year-old Rose Dorothy.
“I don’t profess to know anything about parenting, anything more than anybody else, [but] being a working mom is an incredible challenge, [and] it’s an incredible gift,” she said. “I think you always feel a little bit of guilt… If you’re at work, you feel like you’re missing out on those special moments with your kid. If you’re with your kid, you feel like you’re not giving enough to your job. It’s a balance. I have a lot of huge admiration for working moms – I’m barely, barely holding it together.”
Motherhood comes with a whole heap of guilt. Even when I’m sitting reading with my kids I feel like I should be doing more. It’s good to know that it’s something we all battle – even famous mums.
Now, if only I could get the same lips….
