In news that makes us feel very old indeed this morning, One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has become a father.
The 24-four-year-old’s ex partner Briana Jungwirth gave birth in an undisclosed hospital, working fans into a frenzy online, where #WelcomeBabyTomlinson quickly began trending.
Louis confirmed the news through Twitter saying, “I’m pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday :) ? He is healthy and pretty amazing :) I’m very happy!!”

The One Direction star’s stepdad Mark Tomlinson had earlier kicked off the excitement, writing on Twitter, “Is that the patter of tiny feet?”

When the star announced the baby news back in July, Betfair offered 12/1 odds that the baby would be named after Louis’ mother, Johannah and 14/1 that it would be named after both himself and his mentor Louis Walsh. Of all his bandmates, Niall was the favourite to provide the namesake at 20/1.
