We knew it! Sleep is more popular than sex for mums

A new survey of over 3000 mums with children aged between birth and five years has confirmed what most exhausted mothers already know…

The National Sex Survey, carried out by Healthy Mummy, found that 33% of mamas are simply too knackered to get it on.

Sadly, one quarter of those surveyed said that they don’t feel confident enough about their own bodies to have sex with their partners.

The survey, carried out by an Australian weight-loss community for mums, also found that two thirds of mothers feel more confident after losing their ‘baby weight’.

However, over 50% of respondents said that they still prefer to have sex with the lights off.

The National Sex Survey Results:

  • 25% of mums have sex between two and three times a month
  • 15% of mums say they have sex more than 10 times a month
  • 4% are so irritated by their partner that sex doesn’t appeal
  • 10% don’t have sex regularly because they co-sleep with their children
  • 56% reported that their partner has a higher sex drive than their own
