Person threatening Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan’s 6-year-old daughter comes forward

The threats to Flanagan and his child were made recently.

Yesterday it was reported that MEP Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan had contacted Gardaí after threats were made regarding his six-year-old daughter.

Messages were sent to Flanagan’s TikTok account from an anonymous user saying that they knew were he lived and threatened in particular his young daughter Saoirse.

Concerned for his safety and that of his family, Flanagan involved the guards and collected his daughter early from school just incase she was being watched;

“Gardai have advised me to get security for the house. We’ve had to tell our neighbours as this person said in the message that they know where I live. We collected Saoirse early from school today. We’re taking this very seriously, it’s our daughter’s safety we’re talking about, we have to.”

Flanagan today updated followers of his on Twitter that the person involved in the threats has come forward and he will not be pursuing the matter any further;

“The situation has been resolved. The person who did this has came forward and admitted to posting the comments. They are young and confused. I’ve been there myself. I hold no grudge and I have requested that no further action to be taken. Just delighted to get a resolution.”

He also gave many thanks to the Detectives in Castlerea Garda Station who he said helped him greatly during the whole ordeal.
