If you usually use the M50 for your commute or school run, we’re afraid you’ll have to steer clear this morning after a serious accident.
The road is closed southbound at J7 Lucan and will remain so for a number of hours, possibly until midday.
Traffic is extremely heavy on the M50, affecting both the N4 and M1, after a collision involving a car and two trucks.

Four Dublin Fire Brigade units responded to the incident this morning. A woman, who was driving the car, was seriously injured and has been taken to hospital.
Diversions are in place however further disruptions are to be expected.
