A man has been arrested in the UK market town of Burnley, Lancashire after the discovery of a baby’s body in a house in the town yesterday.
The grim discovery was made at approximately 3pm in the Wellington Court housing estate.
A spokeswoman for Lancashire Police said: “The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
“A 30-year-old man from Burnley has been arrested on suspicion of the concealment of the birth of a child contrary to Section 60 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.
“A 26-year-old woman from Burnley is currently receiving medical treatment.”
