Police searching for a missing Yorkshire boy have confirmed that a body discovered on a building site is that of seven-year-old Conley Thompson.
The body was discovered at the Bank End Road, Worsbrough site this morning. The child’s parents have been made aware of the discovery.

“We deployed our full resources with officers searching throughout the night to find Conley and we are deeply saddened by this tragic development.” said investigation lead Detective Inspector Victoria Short.
“While it is early in the investigation, the death is being treated as unexplained and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.”
Conley Thompson was last seen playing with friends at 6pm in Locke Park in the area and was reported missing at 8pm when he failed to return to his home, 2.2 miles away.
The child, who is white with mousey brown hair and blue eyes, was wearing a blue checked shirt, red shoes, a black coat and brown trousers when he went missing.
Anyone with information about what may have happened to him is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police quoting incident number 1148 of 26 July 2015.
