A mother claims that her breastmilk helped to treat her daughter’s eye infection, after she applied it to the eye.
Wishing to remain anonymous, she posted her update through a Facebook breastfeeding group, Breastfeeding Mama Talk.
In the post, where she shared before and after pictures of her daughter’s eye, she said:
“The power of breast milk. So yesterday all day I was putting prescription eye drops in my daughters eyes. Assuming it was Conjunctivitis? Cold in her eye basically. A lot of mucus was coming out. No improvement. Last night before her last dose before bedtime it dawned on me to use my breast milk. So I squirted some in a little bowl and with a dropper I applied breastmilk into her eyes. Here is pictures of her progress. Not completely healed but definitely an improvement.”
People have been divided on this approach, with some saying that they also use their milk to cure eye infections and various other ailments.
While there were others who did not think it was advisable.
