"Guys please be careful what your children are downloading."

A mother in the UK has taken to Facebook to warn other parents about an app that is being disguised as a kid’s app but is very strange and creepy.

She explained that her daughter had bought different apps, which were designed for kids, and when she was out of the room she overheard a strange voice coming from one of them saying that it would stab her.

Explaining on Facebook, she said:

“Guys please be careful what your children are downloading! I feel sick to my stomach!!! This says pegi 3 so children are able to download this! My daughter has been banned from all devices temporarily now not what I wanted to do after she has just had surgery :( … I feel like an awful mum right now.

I always supervise my child when she is downloading and the app itself looks innocent, I am not the person to blame, clearly it’s the sick and twisted individual who posted this nonsensical bullshit. After investigating it a bit more… I’ve found at least ten apps with the same thing including Elsa, shrek etc.”

She shared a video of the voice and it’s as creepy as she describes. Listen here:

She also shared photos of the app to warn other parents not to let their children buy it.

Apps are graded by the PEG system which determines if games are suitable for minors. Ranging in numbers from 3 to 18, 3 being for small children and 18 being for adults. She says that this app that her daughter downloaded was in the PEG3 category.

PEG3 outlines that apps given this rating are, “considered suitable for all age groups. Some violence in a comical context (typically Bugs Bunny or Tom & Jerry cartoon-like forms of violence) is acceptable. The game should not contain any sounds or pictures that are likely to scare or frighten young children.”
