A Tennessee mum has found herself in very hot water after she posted a disturbing image of two children with duct tape over their hands and mouths to Facebook.
Jaton Justsilly Jaibabi, who claims the image was an ill-thought-out joke, had added the caption: ‘Kids for sale, 45 per cent because they bad.’
The woman, who authorities believe is the mother of one of the children, has since deactivated her social media accounts after a barrage of outrage from other parents.
“I could not breathe. It took my breathe away; caused extreme emotional distress. These are children. These are human beings,” one parent said.
The woman’s cousin, Derion King, has moved to quell some of the outrage, saying the public needn’t worry; the photo was just a practical joke.
Writing on Facebook in support of his cousin, Mr King said: “Basically a joke at the moment that people just went overboard about. People make mistakes and that’s what this situation is, a lesson learned. They are safe, unharmed, and loved. That’s all it is to it.”
