Musician James Vincent McMorrow reveals he has become a dad with sweet statement

The Dublin musician shared the happy news on Twitter, as he thanked Temple Street and Holles Street for looking after his wife and their newborn.

Huge congrats!

James Vincent McMorrow has announced that he has become a dad.

The Dublin musician shared the happy news on Twitter, as he thanked Temple Street and Holles Street for looking after his wife and newborn daughter.

He wrote:

“I’m a private person, but here’s something to share.

“My magical unicorn wife had a magical unicorn baby girl three days ago.

“1,000 thank yous to the staff at Holles Street & Temple Street Hospitals for taking unreal care of them both.”

He went on to recall how the news he was going to be a dad had inspired him to write a new song, called Me And My Friends.

He said that he was inspired as he wanted something he could listen to “and always remember this point in time.”

He continued:

“When I found out this was happening, I sat down and wrote something.

“My intention was to release it when this tiny person showed up, so I could listen to it and always remember this point in time.

“I wanted you to know that so when you hear it, you’ll know why it exists.

“And before you ask – nah, it’s not about being a father, because what do I know about that anyways?”

Signing off the announcement, he added: “It’s about chaos. It’s called Me And My Friends.”

It wasn’t long before friends and fans began to send their well-wishes to the couple on their newest arrival.
