If you’re tuning in to the UK version of Gogglebox this year you will no longer see the Moffatts. Mark, Betty, and their daughter Scarlett have been firm favourites on the show for the last few years.
But since Scarlett has become a reality star, appearing on other shows like I’m A Celebrity, it has meant that they can no longer partake on the show.
They weren’t part of the last series because Scarlett was in the jungle and have now been cut from the show entirely.
A spokesperson explained to The Mirror:
“The Moffatt family will not be appearing in this series.
The whole premise of Gogglebox is normal people commenting on the TV. Scarlett is now a celebrity in her own right so it made sense she wouldn’t continue.
She and her parents came as a package. It wouldn’t work so well without all three of them.”
