A one-year-old boy has passed away as a result of a farming accident in Kilkenny.
It’s believed that the tragedy happened on a family farm near Johnswell Village just after 3 pm.
According to The Irish Farmers Journal, a spokesperson for the Health and Safety Authority said the child may have been struck by the front loader of a tractor.
Emergency services were called immediately but it’s thought that the child passed away at the scene.
