Police desperately try to identify boy washed up on beach known as ‘Little Jacob’

Police are desperately trying to identify a young boy who washed up on a beach.

The boy, known as ‘Little Jacob’ was found naked on a Texas beach three months ago.

Galveston police have searched local and nationwide databases across the States but have not been able to identify the boy.

Officials recently released a photo of the boy after his autopsy to try and identify him.

The photo, which can be viewed here, may upset some readers.

‘Little Jacob’ was discovered on October 20, 2017. Police believe that he died before his body was placed in the water.

A statement read:

“It is believed that Little Jacob’s body was put into the water locally, in the Galveston County area.

“Information obtained at autopsy also shows that Little Jacob was deceased prior to going into the water, and that he did not die as a result of drowning.”

The autopsy also showed that Little Jacob’s body showed signs of abuse and neglect, however, none of his injuries were fatal.

A cause of death has not yet been determined.

The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for the successful identification of the boy and the location of his family.

“We continue to believe that someone out there knows this child.  Someone has seen him.

“This child deserves to be identified and properly laid to rest but for this to happen, input from the public is crucial.”
