I have just been reminded with a jolt that it is Census Night, so I am passing my jolt straight over to you!
The reason it is far from my mind is that our living situation is odd at the moment – we are living in my parents house while we have work done at our own house, and both of my parents are out of the country on holiday.
That means I have to fill in the form that is here, recording us as present at this address and recording my parents as two absent adults. Fun, huh?
The census is important to fill out for so many reasons, but primarily to assist decision makers in development, infrastructure and planning public services to fit the needs of our current population.
We are required by law to fill it out – failure to do so can result in prosecution – so don’t forget!
