Since the royal wedding, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are never far from the headlines and the constant media attention has led to a desire for more privacy.
Much has been made of Meghan becoming a royal and how she’s settled into the new role, very well by all accounts.
Now, talk has turned to what role the former Suits actress will play within the royal family and one insider has strong opinions on the subject.
As we know, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge often attend royal engagements on behalf of the Queen and it looks as though this will be the same for Meghan and Harry, aka the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
This will only become more serious when Prince William becomes king, as is expected to happen one day.
Former royal butler Grant Harrold believes this will be the beginning of an “important role” for Meghan.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, he said:
“The Duchess of Sussex will have an important role to develop as one day she will be sister in law to the King”.
“She will take on duties on behalf of the monarch as we see the Royals do today for the Queen”.
Having given birth to her third child earlier this year, Kate Middleton has stayed out of the limelight in recent months.
However, Grant believes this could all change down the line, as Kate prepares for her new title as Queen.
“I imagine we will see more of the Duchess of Cambridge as she prepares for her future role as Queen”.
