Shay Given and his fiancée have announced some lovely news

Irish soccer star Shay Given has welcomed his second child with fiancée Becky Gibson.

Baby Cassie Elsa Given was born at the family’s home in Cheshire weighing a healthy 11.5lbs. She was named after Shay and Becky’s grandmothers.

Sharing the experience and a beautiful birth photo on social media, Becky wrote: ‘The moment all my dreams came true for a magical, uninterrupted, short, calm, drug free relaxed home birth with no medical intervention. I believed in myself and my baby and afforded her the very best welcome to the world…so proud of myself and @no1shaygiven for this experience.’

The couple welcomed daughter Gracie (now 17 months-old) in 2015 and Given has two children, Shay Junior (11) and Sienna (8) from his previous marriage to Jane Cunningham, which ended in 2013.

Shay also took to social media to welcome the latest addition to the family, posting an adorable shot of baby Cassie’s foot, captioned: Feeling blessed, welcome to the world Cassie Elsa Given. Very proud of @missbkygibson’
