At first glance, everything about this picture seems perfectly normal.
A cute tot sits in a Costco shopping trolley full of groceries. So far, so pedestrian. Until you look a little closer, that is.
The snap, posted to Reddit by a user named A_OBCD8663 has the internet abuzz, for it is not just a hurried iPhone photo taken by a parent. Oh no… it’s photographic evidence of time travel.
Look closely and in the background you’ll see an elderly man who appears to be dressed exactly the same as the toddler in the picture.
Commenters on the post didn’t immediately get the caption. IKauany said: “At first I thought it was because of his facial expression… It took me a while to realize there’s an old man in the picture.”
CharSmar also missed it first time round: “I thought it was because of the kids combover hair style.”
And eventually DiscoUnderpants waded in to really set the record straight: “You are assuming that old guy is just a random old guy. And not your own son who has traveled back thru time to see his parents for one last time before the night vampires consume all of mankind.”
We’re inclined to agree. *shiver*
